After much delay, I am finally posting the second and last group of my photos from the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Most of the animals we saw here were described in the previous post. Of particular note though, was the pride of lions and their kill that we happened across one morning. They had killed a buffalo the previous night and were in the process of finishing off what little remained of its carcass. The lions were panting from the effort of eating/digesting so much bovine meat and their bellies were visibly full. They were totally relaxed in our presence and at one point a few of them moved closer to lie in the shade produced by our safari vehicle.
